Exhaust pipe question

Wanting to redo my exhaust and wondering since it's the exhaust could I use regular Auto exhaust think it's galvanized.
 
fordman, morning....   Yes it will be OK....  If you can, burn the pipe section that will be inside the cooking chamber... that will get rid of the coating...  use a propane torch maybe....   stand up wind so you don't breath in the fumes....    I think the coating is Galv-Alum... zinc and aluminum or something like that....  either way, it should come off where food will be near it....

Well there will be maybe an 1/4 to 1/2 inch in smoker if not flush but it won't be a problem hitting it with a torch.
