    Hello from north central Illinois.  I am a relative novice at smoking.  I've been grilling for 45 years, owned smokers off and on, but am now switching to full-time smoking for the family.  My wife got me a Traeger Grill/Smoker for my birthday several weeks ago and I have been digging in for about 10 days now.  I love a good dry rub on my ribs and am looking for either that perfect recipe or prepackaged rub.  I also will need some assistance in perfecting my times and temperatures.  I know this will be a great place to get some excellent advice and recipes!  Thanks for letting me join the group!

    Welcome to the forum! You'll find a lot of nice folks here who are always happy to help. Jeffs rub recipe is a good place to start. It's a great rub, and when you buy it you help support this site. It's still one of my fav's. Congrats on the new Traeger! I'm sure you'll be turning out some great Q on it.
