thought it was time for me to take a sat and do a little cooking on the uds. krogers had 1/2 pork loins a few weeks back for $.99 lb and i got 6 of them. and this week i got a couple english roasts for $1.97 a lb. so that was what i decided to toss on. cheap and tastey.

so i took the loin and cut it in 1/2. made some 1" chops from the rest. rubbed the 1/4 loin and the roast heavy with rub. filled the uds with 9 lbs of charcoal and hickory chips. put beans under pork.

after a couple hrs i had to peek.

took about 4 hrs to get pork to 160. i put the beef on a little later. about an hr. wanted it a little rarer. had baked potatoes with it and broiled asparagus.

heres the beef. had a nice ring and wasnt as rare as i wanted but was nice and juicy.

and pork.

ready to serve. a little butter cheese sour cream and chives on the taters.

now suited to my taste. jalapenos for the meat a lil a-1 on beef and BBQ & horseradish for pork.

best tasting garbage can i ever ate from.

Everything looks delicious.

Yummy! Man, how'd I miss this one? Oh yeah, out of town for 4 days.

Nice smoke, BGC! And a beauty of a plate, too...Jalepeno rings and all!

Hmmm, makes me wish I could do another smoke, but, work is calling....

Very nice turnout on your meats and the plate was mouthwatering good! Love asparagoose, and you broiled them perfectly. Your beans and 'taters....picture perfect- completed the meal. Very nice.

Just curious, what's an "English Roast"? Real good looking cut of cooked beef, but not familiar with it.
