So summer vacation is upon us and our soon to be high schooler has a friend over for the night. I had planned a crab and crawfish boil but she doesn't eat seafood. I had some drums from Costco and decided to throw them on as a substitute.
First pic was really blurry so here's the second right after the flip.
Whipped up a batch of white sauce while the they smoked and here they are coming off. Still have a few hold outs. I had the rack fully packed so it took a little longer.
Dunking in the sauce. I prefer dunking to brushing because it seems to give better coverage.
And let's eat!!!!
And......... I'm stuffed!! Time for some High Cotton Scottish Ale

Nice recovery Lance! Looks good to my eye and I remember when BWW had 50 cent legs on Wednesday... I always like a good drummie done right and the final dip looks like that to me.

Thanks yall! The white sauce is Big Bob Gibson based bbq sauce for chicken. I got my recipe from a friend from Huntsville. It's great for drumsticks and leftover chicken sammiches.

Yes sir it does. Let me get it together for you. I'm cookin for the neighbor kids at the moment but I'll shoot it out soon.

Here ya go!

White Sauce

3/4 cup mayo
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/4 lemon juice
1-2 tbsp creamy horseradish
1 tsp Louisiana style pepper sauce
1/2 tsp mustard
1 tbsp onion powder
1/2 tbsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt

I generally whisk in up before prepping my chicken and let sit in the fridge. Now if you dunk it, it will soften the a little bit. I don't mind but you might try as a dipping sauce on the side.
