Need ideas on creative ways to elevate my MES 30 off my new concrete deck, trying to prevent the smoker drippings from staining the concrete (mandate from 'The Boss') and would like to get the door a bit more at eye level for accessibility. I was thinking something simple like a couple of cinder blocks, looking for ideas on what youse guys have used. I know Masterbuilt makes a stand for the 30, hate to shell out $50+.

You already touched on my temporary solution that has actually turned into a multi-season semi-long term solution.  I have two cinder blocks that get it off the concrete.  I would however be very careful about how you do this if you're in a high wind area.  It was fine for quite a while and every once in a while when I went out back I would center it on them again.  No problem, right?  Wrong.  A couple of nights ago while we were watching Fury (good movie BTW) with my mom there was a loud BANG! out back and I knew immediately what it was as we had high winds for several days plus it was so cold I hadn't been out back in a while.  I looked out back and sure 'nuff there was my precious MES30 on it's front on the patio.  So far it looks like it fared pretty well with just the top plastic cap on the door being cracked.  It looks like the seal is still fine and everything seems to line up alright but I haven't tested anything as I just moved it to the garage out of the weather and haven't done anything with it since.

Moral:  Whatever you do if you are in a high wind area make sure it's secured down to your platform as you could experience something similar to what I did and nobody wants that.

All that being said, I plan to make a nice stand out of 2x4's and put some doors on it this spring. I've seen some really nice custom stands on this forum and I'm sure those who have them will be along with better suggestions than my cinder blocks I had laying around.  Making your own is much cheaper than the super expensive Master Built stand they sell for it.  If the quality is anything like the OEM cover they sell stay away.  I finally popped for the cover and when it arrived I was horribly disappointed with the weight (thickness) and it's already faded after a single season.  Lame.

Yeah I know you didn't want to spend the $ but this is a pretty awesome idea.  It gets it to eye level, provides side shelves and also mobility.  I checked Sam's Club and they are the cheapest you can find this for.  I spend the $ for the Masterbilt stand and wish I hadn't.  It doesn't have wheels or even a way to level the smoker.  Anyway if you come up with something unique, post a pic.

That's the forum I have been following that I was talking about.  There are plenty of ideas in there and it's a really good resource if you plan to DIY a stand for these puppies.  Thanks for posting the link as I'm mobile and didn't have the time to search it out & post it.

Thanks O, lots of nice options, probably going to cheap out with cinder blocks to begin with, mine is under a 2nd story wood deck up against the wall so I'm not too concerned with wind being a problem (I'll probably regret that optimism now that I've posted it)...
Mine is up against a wall to but we're in the foothills of Northern Colorado and get some serious winds here so if you idea of 'windy' is more reasonable it probably isn't a concern but better safe than sorry.

My wife runs a home daycare and has a sturdy old kid's card table she doesn't use. It's been perfect for my MES 30. The front and back of the table catch any grease that falls out when I'm removing meat from the smoker. You might be able to find a cheap one at a Goodwill or secondhand store. Bet you could also lay a painter's drop cloth or a small tarp underneath whatever you place your MES 30 on top of. I always smoke in either my front or back yard so it all goes on the grass.
