You just need several of the same general type and temp range, then:
Apply to an appropriate heat source for enough time to stabilize the temp readings. Note: most thermometers have the best accuracy in the mid-range of the reading, EG: 20-220 range will be most accurate at 140 degrees. The same principle applies to pressure gauges as well.
