I found this and plan on making one soon,
But thought maybe some of you may be interested in making one for yourselves.

    Looks like a good project.

You could use it for pasta too.

That is my drying rack and kitchen table. If you make one make it just wide enough so you can put your smoker shelves on top and on the lower cross members. That way you can dry things and carry them from the rack to the smoker. Your sausage dowels will fit as well.

They are nice! They fold up and hang on the wall. I decided to oil mine, I wish I would have used polyurethane on them.

I contemplated building a version of Todd's excellent drying rack. But if I did then my bicycle wouldn't serve a purpose anymore. Heck my wife might even make me start riding it for exercise again! [IMG]

I have made a drawing of this when I built mine that I would be more than happy to share with everyone. You can alter it to whatever size you want it to be but it will give you a baseline to start with or use as is. I have a MES 30 that the wooden dowels that I hang my sausage on fit nicely. How can I post a pdf on here?

Here's the drying rack I drew up. Use as is or alter the dimensions to suit your needs. I made mine out of scrap oak boards I had but you can use whatever lumber you want to. Ask any questions you want, I didn't dimension the heck out of the drawing but there should be enough there to build it.

If you lay your bike on its side you could also hang alot more sausages from the spokes on the wheels.

But brud thats a nice rack..ive never really put any thaught into how meat is dried. If i ever tackle the sausage i will be sure to make one of these racks. Jarrah is pretty common australian hardwood timber so it would give me a nice chocolate red colour
