MOTHERS WHO DRUGGED US!!!

The other day, someone at a store in our town read that a Methamphetaminelab had been found in an old farmhouse in the adjoining county and heasked me a rhetorical question.

Why didn't we have a drug problem when you and I were growing up?"

I replied, I had a drug problem when I was young:
I was drug to church on Sunday morning. I was drug to church for weddingsand funerals.

I was drug to family reunions and community socials no matter the weather.

I was drug by my ears when I was disrespectful to adults.

I was also drug to the woodshed when I disobeyed my parents, told a lie,
brought home a bad report card, did not speak with respect, spoke ill of
the teacher or the preacher, or if I didn't put forth my best effort in
everything that was asked of me.

I was drug to the kitchen sink to have my mouth washed out with soap if I
uttered a profanity

I was drug out to pull weeds in mom's garden and flower beds and
cockleburs out of dad's fields.

I was drug to the homes of family, friends, and neighbors to help out some
poor soul who had no one to mow the yard, repair the clothesline, or chop
some firewood; and, if my mother had ever known that I took a single dime
as a tip for this kindness, she would have drug me back to the woodshed.

Those ***** are still in my veins and they affect my behavior in
everything I do , say, or think. They are stronger than cocaine, crack, or heroin;
and, if today's children had this kind of drug problem, America would be a
better place.

God bless the parents who drugged us.

HELLLLLLL YEAH exactly the way i was raised....and exactly the way im raising my boys. my oldest has had my hand imprint on his ass and theres no one gonna tell me i cant discipline my kids.

Guess I have a lot to be thankful for. I had a real bad drug problem growing up in Maine and I can thank that problem for my impeccable past and the success of my children!

Sound like our folks were all addicted to the same stuff and thankfully so was I. My boys a mighty fine boy and I am proud to be his Mama!

I have been there, done that.

When I was about 9 years old, my buddy told me how you could get candy without money, well this dumb ass took his candy home, boy was that a mistake I'll never forget, my mother knew I had no means to get candy, so after about 15 minutes of mom's hell, I fessed up.
Well the little store was two blocks away from the house, and it was out the door we go, and about every second step the belt came down accross my butt, goodness sake was I glad to get back to the store, and confess to the clerk what I had done, not only did I end up paying for the candy that day, I was forced to throw it away.

Needless to say, after this near death experience, everytime I was put in that type of situiton sgsin, my ass would start hurting, and I would think better of it, needless to say, my mother may have planted the seed that kept me out of jail that day.

I try to teach my girls wrong and right, lets just pray some of it gets thru to them.

I also am a victim of being druged by my parents.  Think this abuse is outlawed by todays law.  As a parent or grandparent we are now not allowed to abuse kids this way.  The government would rather our kids use street drugs rather than letting parents drug them.

Here's what wrong with "Society" today. Notice  that   ***** was substituted for what i am going to assume was the word d-r-u-g-s.  However, the words: cocaine,crack, and heroin are NOT  *****  out!

I agree if today's society was more like the old days things would be a lot better. It's ridiculous how today's kids are being raised.

I remember the same thing being said about the Kids in my time of youth. I am 58.

I also remember talking to my Grandmother and she would say the same about her kids age group. There is notthing new under the sun.

What is was. I see a lot of great kids out there with the connection i have with the school. Have no fear. Dont put them all in one baskit.
