I love smokers with the grill attached to them.
  6. The grill is pinned in, you pull the pin out of the one leg and the grill swings out 90 degrees for easy working,
  7. Great looking pit. Looking forward to seeing some smoke.

    Happy smoken.

  8. Very cool rig!

That looks awesome! Pics of the inside?

  10. you can see in the first 2 pics  the sheet metal going under the grill, there is a 8 inch gap below in witch the hottest heat travels then turns up and back to evenly heat the food.  The last pic is the swing out grill for easy reach.

Looks great I was thinking of doing something like this but advised against the center firebox. How is your rig working out? Very interested before I start cutting.

You scared me... I thought you meant... DONE!!! with the smoker... as in never again. But now I see... your Done with your very cool.... smoker.... and... yes like everyone else said,.... hurry with some Q pics... :)

    Looks good
  14. Stagsmoker, it works great !! Air movement nan be predicted, I work with heated air, so knowing what I know , I sized the incoming box from the frie box in 8x16 , my vents are 3 smaller vents to force the air to move the way I want it to, I have tool that measures the air vilosity coming out and the are all even ;-), plus I have a metal plate across the bootom 8 inches up and stops 8 inches from the front forcing better air movement time with out the hot spot in the center. the plate gets the hottest heat and radiates the bottom of the grill, it a indirect heating plate temps above and below the grate is about the same
  15. Very nice design! and I see you have it all under control.

I really like the way you combined the smoker grill functions.

    I'm thinking along similar lines.

    Nice rig and paint job.

    Keep the picts coming.
