Does humidity affect fire building

  1. Hi I have had a tough day with my fire. I am using an offset char broil smoker I used the minion method of lighting. I have never had a problem before keeping temp up the only difference seems to be a very humid day here in Trenton Ontario Canada

Perhaps, if there is very little air movement a small charcoal fire may be difficult to maintain. Get a small fan and place it in front of the air intakes to get some air flow.
  3. Thank you air flow ...I should have known that
  4. Yes most definitely. Harder to maintain your fire on a humid or rainy day.

Ditto, both affect it....especially a rainy day.   It takes more air to offset the humidity.
