Smoking in a battle zone

It’s Sunday morning and the workers are here trying to stay on schedule, they are also going to put up two fences this week. As you can see, I’m smoking some chicken quarters for the workers. Getting around all this is challenging in a wheelchair as you can imagine. I marinated the chicken in buttermilk overnight, put it in the smoker at 375° for 1 ½ hrs., then I dropped the temp to 225° until it will be done to my liking. Sorry for the lack of presentation pics, there just is no place to work out here, and getting in and out of the house is also a challenge.
Thanks for reading my message from the battle zone.
Let us pray...

You should get combat pay having to work around all of the chaos. Good Luck!!!

You should get combat pay you'll need it to pay all the workers. I bet that smoke chicken will take a dent out of the bill once they taste it. It's looking like you will have quite the back yard there rich.

I hope you threw in a quarter or two for yourself.
How much longer before things get back to a normal peace & quite-non construction zone?

Looks like they are making a mess

Congratulations on the work being done- it is for you and not some zoning / neighbor thing right?

Your workers are lucky to have such a BBQ God making them food!

Wow, you're getting a lot done all at once! I hope it goes quickly and smoothly. Feeding the crew and keeping them happy goes a long way.

Luckily, it is not due to zoning or neighbors. I don't need no stinking rules. Thanks for the compliment my friend.

Dawn, the sooner the better for me.

That good Q will help ensure that The Oops we accidentally left some tools and supplies back at the shop so we have to quit early syndrome won't be used as often. A happy worker is a working worker,
I always say.

You could put on a 16 hour brisket telling the workers, It will be done at such and such a time, and if they are done by then they can join the feast. I know that would speed me up.
