I used avocado splits last weekend on some pork shoulders that was by far the tastiest pull pork I've made yet any body else use this spicy wood or any other wood besides the standard
 
Avacado is a great wood to use.

My personal favorite is Kiawe. Or a mix of Kiawe & Cherry or Kiawe & pecan. The Kiawe/cherry mix is what I use the most.

Peach is another nice mild wood. Tasty on chicken, pork and fish.
