Difference between the MES 30 and 40

Other than the obvious 30/40 measurements.... I would like to know if there is any difference between the two the mes30 is more available to me.
 
Not sure they may have a different heating element.

Some of the MES gurus will be along to give you a better answer.

I had a MES 40 w/window & they're hard to beat.
 
I believe I've seen the MES 30 with 500W, 650W, and 800W.

Not sure about all of the MES 40s, but my MES 40 has a 1200W element, and I love it!

There are a lot of happy MES30 users on this forum, but I got the all stainless steel MES40 with window because it was so darn good looking. I really did not need the extra capacity of the MES40, but I knew I would enjoy seeing the bigger shiny smoker sitting out on my deck more.

I also have a tractor supply store that has the MasterBuilt 30' with the solid door for 149.00 and the 30' with electric controls for 189.00.. Just seems SOOO small on the inside tho,, does a packer brisket fight on the inside easly??
