Hey Guy's,

You do not realize Just how lucky you all are,

Here in the UK, you would have thought that with our long history,

We would have kept some of our heritage, when in the past,

We would cure, and smoke our food to preserve and save it,

Now when we do finally do get any summer, and go for a BBQ,

What do we do, burn Sausages, and Burgers, give our guests "Salmonella"

That is so depressing dont you think,

A friend of mine thought that I had lost the plot,

When I envited him, and his wife round on a snowy New Years Eve,

He fliped out, when he saw that the BBQ was set up in the garden,

I cooked Lamb Kebabs, and Jerk Chicken, but we all enjoyed it,

I will be cold smoking Chicken tomorrow, so I dont care what the rest of the UK dose,

Have a great weekend Guy's

youre able to bbq on ur own, doesnt seem like ur deprived of much lol. if it makes you feel any better, theres people here in the U.S. that are giving people salmonella everday..lol. the UK isnt special. haha. but in all seriousness, burgers and brats are just easier..everyone wants easy nowadays..if people wanted to do work themselves or try something new in the kitchen there wouldnt be any restaurants or fast food. lol. why worry about what the rest of the UK is doing?...sit back, have a proper pint (or 20..lol) and get your smoke on. :)

Yer Ok, you win,

It's just that  some of us want  better , and why settle for some person to mess with your food,

When you can have a smoke, when you smoke, and enjoy a beer oclock, no matter what you smoke,

But have a great weekend...

You just gotta spread the word! My neighbors always come calling when they smell my smoker. Share and teach....pretty soon everyone will be doing it! That's what happened with my firends. Let the smoke do your talking.

As for quick BBQ/grilling, I'm just glad to hear folks in the UK enjoy burgers. I always thought that was something they used in order to poke fun at us Americans. (Kind of like whenever we hear "spotted dick"!) lol

Though I do have to thank the UK for the Yorkshire Pudding. Every Christmas my wife makes it from the grease leftover from our roast. SO GOOD!

Humdinger's right...you gotta get out there and convert them 1 at a time or in a large group..trust me when i got the stick burner in the driveway(because its on a trailer) ppl know they better bring there arse if they wanna get in on the Q! lol. ive moved everywhere around the world and everywhere ive gone ive had neighbors who quickly learn whats up when they see smoke. i just moved into a new house and left neighbors angry from where i just moved from...because they knew if they wanted brisket or pulled pork or anythng for that matter, they could just come over whenever i was outside. in 2 yrs of living in the past house my neighbors never bought commercial Q, just came over and ate like royalty. lol. new neighbors in this house i just moved into have already learned in the 3 weeks ive been in there that when that smoker out back gets to smokin ya better bring your plate, your appetite and something for me to drink on. cheers mate! its friday and i got ribs and whiskey on the brain....

Hi Smokencure

Where in the UK are you. There are a few of us Brits on here - most ex BBBQS members - who are all trying to spread the message. For help, support and advice you have come to the right place. There is probably in excess of 5,000 years of combined smoking/BBQ experience on tap on here and the natives are friendly

Good to have you on board

Wade
