I want to introduce my newly build hot & cold smoker.

It was made using pine cladding screwed to square post construction.

As a heater I am using a 1500W hotplate steered with PIR thermostat.

Smoker is situated in utility room and connected to extraction duct.

I really miss those warmer days for fully testing it outside.

Thanks for viewing

Very nice.

I am looking at converting mine to be electric down the road. I am courious as to where you got your element and controler. Also how many cubic feet is your smokehouse. Want to compare with what I have to make sure i have enough heat for hot smoking as well.

Thank you
Jeramy

My smoke chamber sizes are:
570mm(W)x450mm(D)x780mm(H)
It was built using 12mm cladding boards attached to wooden frame (50x50mm joists)
I used online references while assembling thermostat. Got the controller of eBay and the project box from electrics shop. The heating system was made using a single hot plate (from eBay of course)
Hope that helps ;)

Oh, I nearly forgot mention the smoke generator.
It was built using stainless steel tube, 18mm copper pipe and some break fluid 4,5mm pipe feeding the air into the copper pipe with the extraction pointed toward outside. This creates a vaccum inside burning chamber.
Hope that all makes sense...
