Maui, Hi.
I no longer need to cut full lengths of ribs to smoke em. Thanks to my Smoke Vault 24 I was able to fit 2 full racks of babybacks on a grate level (Next time I'll do 4 -6 racks). On Saturday I did the ribs. Here is a picture of the ribs in the smoker....

I gave a rack to my friend and his wife on Saturday. It sure impressed him when I handed him a full rack of ribs instead of two pieces. He came over on Sunday afternoon and gave me a bag of Jack Daniels Oak Barrel Chips and a book on making sausages....Hmmmmmm

Thanks for checking the view. Take Care.
Oh..I still have my little GOSM and it'll still be put to use.

Hey Opd, aren't them 24's a peach for ribs? I did 6 slabs of untrimmed spares (3 per grate) on rib/potato racks and ABTs on the top grate at the same time for the 4th. She was pretty full, but handled it very well.

Gotta love a full slab coming off the grates!

Them ribs are looking real good. I thought I was smelling them but then I woke up....

Eric,

Yup, Next time I do ribs, I'm going to take full advantage of the smoker and do 6 slabs too along with some Dutch's beans. I tried some of your modifications: taller chimmney (dryer vent balanced on top of the top vent), and blocked off the stock bottom vents and both ribs smoked fine. Thanks for doing the research and putting out bottom line for all the non-techies like me. I also think I am getting the No Foil method down. Take care.

Nice looking ribs. Yes, it's amazing the amount of food you can smoke on one of these 24 incher's.
