Just got some #1 at the gander mountain! Last time I checked they didn't have any and this time waaa laa.

Oh Farmer there are so many things I can't wait to try. Bacon and ham are at the very top of the ever growing list.

Gander has the lem 4oz packages. They are 1.99 so for now till I'm comfortable with my curing skills I'm gonna keep taking baby steps  gonna get the stuff to make snack sticks in my way home

A couple "quick" recipes that are fun to play with are lox and cured and smoked chicken thighs. 4 oz of cure is enough to play with for a good while. If you're anything like me the wait for things like ham or bacon will be unbearable so these are good to keep you busy while you're waiting, in addition to the snack stix. For the chicken, just soak it in Pops' brine for a couple days and then smoke as usual. For lox, I'd suggest Bbally's tutorial called "Lox, a picture guide". Good luck and have fun!
