Thanks for all the smoking warm welcomes. I have to keep my sodium down but I want to smoke meat still. I am in CT.

Hi Ben!  How are you?

Need any help?

Kat
I am doing pretty well with the search feature. I wish more people would chime in with the same needs as me with low sodium diets. Jumping

Thanks much for the invite. Have joined. What do you like for a salt substitute

To enhance flavor on foods, I use herbs, spices and different salts...  from kosher to Himalayan...    Dave

ditto on what the others have said.  Go over to Pops area and join YAWE.  There are several of us that try and reduce the salt (sodium) intakes for one reason or another!

Good luck!

Kat

Hi all, Jim here (Wuzzgonna), I bought a homemade smoker from a friend on April 6th and my wife had a heart attack on the 8th!!! She on the mend, after 2 stents, and getting better every day. We both love smoked stuff (especially ribs) but now we have to figure out how to do things the "low sodium" way. I've seen references to "Pops" and YAWYE, where like-minded smokers may cogregate?. How do I get there please? Do I need an invitation? Thanks, Jim
