hi everyone, 

new here, been bbq-ing for years now on my broil king sovereign 

want to move on to the weber WSM (not sure 14 or 18)

been smoking ribs on the gas grill and just doesn't cut it

if all goes well wifey will let me get one and time for some good eating

Welcome sammysound!  I know exactly what you are saying about smoking ribs on a gas grill.  It works, barely, but it is NOTHING like smoking in a real smoker.  And that WSM, either the 14" or the 18", is one great smoking device.

Lots of folks here with WSMs of all sizes so feel free to ask any questions you have.  We'll even help you convince your wife!  Pictures work wonders!





 
If you want a 14 inch wsm, build yourself a mini. Alot cheaper and cooks just as good.
