Creating better airflow in analog new gen MES 30

I've heard that there can be problems keeping the AMNPS lit inside the MES30.  I have the new gen model and am about to start using the AMNPS for the first time.  I've read but cant find where, about people drilling extra holes in this unit to help with the airflow.  Any suggestions?

I have a MES 40 I use the AMNPS. First make sure you get it going good, With dry chips or dust. Remove the chip tray. Keep the chip loader pulled out an inch. Try that before you try any drilling. Also get the smoke hot before you put the AMNPS in. That will start the draft.
