Hi,

Is there a cover that fits well over both the MES and the cold side smoker box? I was thinking of trying the Bradley one but wanted to see if anyone had one that worked out well.

Thank you

If you cover your smoker, and stop all air flow through it, you will have mold grow inside.... That happened to me.... Mine is not covered now and I leave the inlet open and exhaust open... Significantly reduced the mold growth.....

Wally world has a black 30" dia. X 25" grill cover for $8.  Weber makes a grey 27" dia. X 26" or so for approx. $12.  The Weber seems more substantial and both fit over the 40" MES (they come down to the top of the chip loader opening.)  I remove the chip loader and cover the opening with a large refrigerator magnet to keep bugs out and leave top vent open if I leave it outside.

Dave doesnt it become a dust heap without a cover?

I just ordered a Classic Veranda cover for my gen 1 on Amazon. It is woven material outside, PVC lined inside. They are waterproof, but have covered mesh vents to let the moisture out.The fabric won't crack in the winter, which is important to me, here in Idaho. This cover is much more substantial than the thin black vinyl Masterbuilt cover.
There is an adjustable elastic bottom hem cord, with a cord lock. I've used their covers on my BBQs, and have been really happy with them.
The price is under $21.00. I got some oak chips ( my favorite) and some other stuff, so shipping was free, as I got over $35 on my order.

Urrgghhh those covers are complete disposable garbage.  I've replaced them every year (my entire patio, 7 covers) for the last 2 years (thats 21 covers!!!!!!!).  Thank goodness for their 3 year warranty.  They will tear, the seams will fall apart and they will 100% get mold.  I can tell you for a fact that the reviews on Amazon are total fake.

After a huge dispute with the company, I ended up upgrading to the Hickory line (and having to pay big $$$ for it).  But so far so good.  I really like the hickory covers and they appear better made.  But I will only be able to tell for sure next summer.

Try the hickory line to see if that works out or find another cover.

My MES sits on the Patio on the North side of my house. I have had a Masterbuilt cover for 2+ years and have had no issues. It is still in as good of condition today as it was the day I bought it. I don't remember the exact price I paid for it, but do remember that I bought it at Amazon for a bit over $20.
