Hey- this is a little late, but here are the photos from a recent weekend smoke.  Thanks for looking

Started with a couple cryovac'd butts total of 18 lbs or so

In the fridge with Jeff's rub

My set up- a Brinkman gourmet with propane afterburner.  Smoked with Apple.  I put a single apple chunk in a can and rest on edge of afterburner to get my smoke

Resting in the oven at 205

    One pulled

Pulling the second one- Great bark, gotta love the bear claws, they make everything easier

Pulled, nice pile of meat- after dinner I still had 12 bags left over to freeze for future use!

    Happy Smokin-
  2. Looks spot on! Big Box Home Improvement store had metal bear claws.

Metal ones would be great- I actually thought these were metal until they arrived from Amazon.  I purchased on a recomendation from a member on this board years ago.  Could you spill the beans on which "big box" had them in metal?
  6. Looks real nice, great color.

How effective are those bear claws? I have been on the fence about picking some up
  7. Does freezing the left overs effect the taste at all? I haven't tried that.

No, freezing does not harm PP. Place it in Vac Bags and freeze up to 6mos. , but why[IMG]  It doesn't last that long around here... [IMG]  .

I think the bear claws are great, but like I said metal ones would be even better.  They are also good for moving hot food around, with the additional spikes you can lift things like a butt that is about to fall to pieces with ease.
