Cooked 3 butts and a brisket yesterday

  1. I got a deal on boston butts a week ago and bought 3 cases , which was a total of 18 butts. I couldn't wait to fire up the smoker again, also this was my first brisket , it was good but it still cant hold a candle to pork (just my opinion).

     I didn't get any pics of the meat but I did get one pic with the smoke rolling

    I soaked the butts in a brine for 2 days , which contained , water , salt , hickory salt, apple juice, garlic salt, onion powder, and crushed red peppers, then added my rub, which contained a lil bit of everything that I had in the cabinet,

     The next time I will get some pics of the meat , it all turned out , I love cooking

  4. have to remember to unhook the counter weight before transporting the cooker , it sounds like a giant bell at the first stop sign
