Sorry for this duplicate post; I dont know how I did this, nor how to delete
I have been a huge fan of this site for a couple of years, have used my large NG weber for smoking for a while and just last week bought my first smoker (brand new Masterbuilt 2-door LP).
I cant say that this smoker is the highest quality ( sgging door, loose hinges) but the proice was right.
I've done chicken and salmon (both were great, btw) and am planning for bigger and better things.
Given that the winter is upon us (I am just off Lake Michigan and near Milwaukee, W), I am contemplating converting my smoker to NG, as Lp looses too much vapor pressure in winter, and bringing the tank inside to warm is fine for short burns, but not good enough for those long smokes.
Anyone with experience converting?
Ideally, I would like to be able to use NG or LP and understand that pressure differences will affect performance, but figure that lower ng pressure is fine for my low T smoke jobs.
Thought?
thanks,
paul
