Hi all,  My name is Dave (aka Brutus Bubba).

I initially joined the SMF forum back in 2013.  I never really participated much (other than reading and lurking), but just rediscovered the value of this place.  I promise I'll attempt to participate more fully.

I live in Brutus, Michigan (hence the moniker).  It is located in the Tip-of-the-Mitt, the very top of the Lower Peninsula.  In fact my wife and I are what the Yoopers call trolls, we live just under the bridge.

I have been smoking in earnest for about 7 years, with much grilling before that.  I use the standard Brinkman ECB w/some of Jeff's mods (well played sir, they are well thought out and work very well, thanks.)  I have been eyeing some horizontal smokers, but still have sentimental value for my "tube".

I basically smoke with fruits & nuts, but they eventually go home

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
