I was playing around with another Colossal Burger recipe. It really turned out well. I like a great oinion burger so that is what I was going for.

I sauteed 2 texas sweet onions in garlic butter, worcestshire sauce and beef gravy until they were nice and caramelized. I smoked some thick sliced bacon and put the bacon, chedder cheese and sauteed onions inside the burger. I smoked them low and slow on my Traeger. End result was a BIG JUICY and sloppy buger. Oh man! these were awesome! My son ate the big one in the video. I don't know how he does it. I had mine without the bun. There is such a thing as too much. That said, we like to roll BIG around here so we make them big and if we can finish them Gus our bulldog is alway has our backs.

Now that burger looks awesome and we have been making stuffed burgers for years too.

Thanks guys.

The sauce is a quick but very tasty combination of 1 cup Sweet Baby Ray's, 1 cup Cherry Dr. Pepper and 1 Tbsp brown sugar. Bring it to a simmer then cool it. It's actually one of the best sauces for pulled pork I have tried. IMHO...

Well...

I forgot all about the throwdown.

I'll see if I can come up with something.

Ok Caveman...

After some thought, I spent "ALL" day smoking 6 different items 4 of which are meats to come up with by far my most over the top sandwich I have ever made. Bar none! I have submited it to Fired Up and will wait for the judging. It was allot of work and makes the fair burger above look like kids play. It's all in fun. Doesn't matter if I win or lose, the compliments from my step son and step daughter were prize enough!

Have you ever tried frying up sweet onions, and fresh mushrooms in butter and rum or vodka? OOOOh Soooo good. This reminded me of that, I haven't made them in a long time. I use to make them like that for philly sandwiches (though I usually ate half of the onions and mushrooms straight out of the pan, lol), but I will have to try it doing some of your collosal style burgers.

Darn it. I should have kept my big mouth shut.....

If I lose, I will blame myself. You and your wonderful, incredible, drool invoking smokes. I should have left you alone.

LOL....Good luck. I am sure it will be a winner, unless ChefRob submits something. Then we might actually be in trouble.

Beautiful Burger, and a great video!

In a still shot, you can't see the guts inside the burger actually dripping out.

I'm glad you can't see my drool dripping on my keyboard either!!

Sweet Burger My Friend!

Up her in Da Nort, they call these "Jucie Lucy's". I have no idea why, but never seen anything like the stuffed ones you made.

You know I was thinking, after making these last night, these would have been real good to have wrapped a strip or two of bacon around them. Kinda like a fillet mignon.
