Cold Smoked Quail Eggs

Getting some quail eggs ready for cold smoke. No heat from the smoker, just smoke via the grenade with hickory pellets.

Going to pickle after they are smoked.



Only smoke one grenade worth.


Mixed up the pickling solution. I added 1 star anise to 2 of the jars. Overfill the jars to when you put the cap and band on the liquid comes over the jar, twist band and hot water finich for 10 mins.


Set aside to cool then into fridge. They say good for a month but i have had them still great (unopened) in the fridge for 3 months. Once you open they wont last a month cuz you will eat em all.
