Hey all,

Someone here some time ago posted with the name of a cleaner which worked wonders on creosote, I think it was some kind of acid. Anyone recall? I gummed up my Big Kahuna really bad - had to use my mini torch to heat it up then pry off the ends with a flathead screw driver.

I finally got the pepperoni sticks looking great (finally a nice even mahogany bloom), but tasted kind of ucky. Even then though, none of them got thrown out...I guess even creosote meat stix are better than none.

I'll get that air mixture right, let me at 'em!

L8r,

Mark

Mean Green works well. It is a great degreaser and is non toxic and biodegradable.

I use Simple Green, like Mean Green I guess since it is also non-toxic and biodegradable, supposedly you could even drink it and you would be fine.
I have washed my car with it, scrubbed the house inside and out with it, cleaned the smoker with it, did a load of laundry with it, basically everything except showering with it and I have wondered about that.

ROFLMA

Thanks for the laugh. I spit up soda on my lap as I wasn't expecting that... lol

Simple Green or Mean Green it is then, thanks for the replies.

I found the greatest cleaner at The Dollar Store. It's called LA's Totally Awesome Cleaner, and does a better job than anything else I've used. I can't disclose the price though;-)
