Cleaning MES

I just broke out the mes to do my deer summer sausage.

When I opened the door I found it to be a little rusty. Its been about three years.

What is the best way to clean it?

I never had the SS interior rust on either of my MES40's. I would try soap, water and fine Steel Wool. Rinse and Dry with the heat cranked and the season with PAM. Avoid soaking the Coil and connections, this can cause GFI tripping. Some other guys my have a more Hi-Tech approach...JJ
