I'd like to hear everyone's tips on a burning  question.  How do you clean your Masterbuilt electric smoker?  Here is what I do: I remove the rack and pan and clean them in the kitchen sink with dish soap, removing grease but leaving the "seasoning."  I then set them up to air dry.  I will occasionally wipe down the inside of the smoker itself with a dish rag and soapy water, but not always.  I then set the smoker to its highest temperature without water or wood chips and let it cook empty for a number of hours, to burn off anything that would spoil.  I'm not sure that this is the best way, but this is how I am currently doing it.  As you can tell, I am not trying to get my smoker to "squeaky clean," but rather leave some seasoning in place without creating any health hazard.  Any and all tips welcomed!  Thanks.

Clean my smoker? Not gonna happen.

I soak the cooking grates (and water pan if I used it) for a few hours then hit them with a brush. No detergent. Empty the ashes from the chip pan and I'm ready to cook again.
