It's been  while since I fired up the Egg for anything besides pizza, the Traeger has been getting the call. Changed that today...

Got some Beef Chuck Short Ribs

Trimmed them and rubbed them down with Plowboy's Bovine Bold

Onto the Egg direct 230 - 250.

After about 7 hours, they were ready to come off.

First time I have ever done chuck ribs - they were very beefy and delicious. Thanks for looking.

Wow! I've never seen beef chuck short ribs! They look amazing! I have to find some. I'm not familiar with plowboy's bovine bold? Would any beef rub work?

Thanks. My original plan was just salt and pepper, but had the Bovine Bold so went with it. I would think any rub you like on beef would work. These were very beefy tasting so they really don't need much enhancement.

Those look fantastic! Did you foil them at all? I always have and I was curious how they would turn out without foiling.
Sorry -just saw this - nope, no foil at all. Just straight up direct heat.

They were delicious. Ate the last of them for dinner last night.

Went to BJ's Wholesale this morning, found another package of them - all 18.75 pounds of the. Need to break out the vacuum sealers tomorrow to break them down into more manageble

size.

Thanks Bear - these Chuck Beef Ribs are quickly becoming my favorite too. Picked up 18+ pounds of them today at BJ's Wholesale. Gotta pick them up when I see them. $2.99/lb

Those look fantastic. I have a rack of them I picked up at BJ's a couple weeks ago in the freezer. They may have to come out now and hit the smoker.
