Chix, Loin, Fatty, ABTs... Oh My!

  1. Here is this weekend's smoking. Did three chickens, one pork loin, one fatty, and dozen ABTs. I used Jeff's rub and sauce and they were some kinda yummy. The rub was excellent on everything. And this was my first time doing ABTs and a Fatty. I will be doing them on every smoke from now on!!!

    I hope everyone's Q-weekend was a good one. Next weekend will be a mess of ribs for a friend that is moving. He said as long as I do the ribs, I don't have to help move. CONSIDER IT DONE!

    Wow looks great Lee! Nice job! That chicken looks like a gator ready to attack! Raaaa!

    Isn't that rub good? I add a spoonful of tomato powder to the rub cuz I like tomato based Q sauce but other than that I use it on everything!

    Did I mension yet that the sauce is really good added to Italian style salad dressing and used for salad?

    Try this: juice a lemon add olive oil, basil, oregano, garlic, salt, onion and pepper to taste. Shake it up good and add about half that amount of Jeff's BBQ sauce and pour that over a nice green salad! Yummmmmmmmmmmmm

    Yeah, I read about doing salad dressing with Jeff's sauce on one of your other posts. It will be trying that. I agree with you that I like a more tomato base. Couple people said they like my other sauce I make better. But, still it was very tasty.

    Yeah, the smoker was full. We had some good friends over, so I gave them one of the chickens. I still have plenty for lunch tomorrow and probably dinner.
