Went to Hy Vee today to get some meat on sale.  Got some chicken quarters, breasts, a whole chicken, some brats, and a top sirloin.  But, on topic, decided to replicate the cowboy grillers they sell for $3.50 each.

Just pounded a breast out a little bit, put monterey jack cheese and jalapeno inside, wrapped it up, put a couple slices of bacon around it and used some toothpicks to hold it together.  I sprinkled just some Weber Kickin Chicken seasoning and cayenne pepper on top.

The foil potatoes I have been making since I was in college and they are yummy.  I used Yukon gold potatoes.  I season them with salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder, extra spicy Mrs. Dash, crushed red pepper and cayenne pepper.  Then I just put some butter and onions in there and seal them up and grill them for a bit.  I usually finish them in the oven at 400 until the rest of the food is done.

Here's some pics.

A chicken ABT?  Interesting.

Good luck and good smoking.

LoL, I had to look up what an ABT is.  So, yeah I guess it's pretty much like that but using chicken.  The HyVee stores have sold these "chicken grillers" as long as I remember, so I just stole the idea.  They are quite good, actually.

The one I made (with jalapenos) is called the Cowboy griller.  They sell a cowgirl griller, which just uses green bell pepper instead of jalapeno.  Then they also have a hawaiian one, but I'm not sure exactly what's in that one.  IIRC, they also sell a pizza griller sometimes.
