First smoker for me. It's a Brinkmann Vertical Gas Smoker, purchased used after a bit of research and decision I wanted to try a two door propane unit first.

I just jumped in and tried my first use of the unit and made a few ABTs. I did get a picture of a couple that my daughter asked me to save for her, but the others went pretty fast. Just a basic cream cheese filled, bacon wrapped, jalapeno with a bit of Mrs, Dash Mesquite added on top. My applewood chips went quick, I should have soaked them first, but was antsy to get started. The chips smoked off pretty quick. I need some chunks of wood I think.o

I also need to get a gasket kit to seal the doors. Too much smoke leaks out, along with quite a bit of heat I'm sure.

Anyway, howdy from Colorado. Looking forward to wings next followed by a whole chicken this weekend.

Thanks for all the info I've found here so far.
