True Dan, I pretty much grind my own now in self-defense.

yea the Food Lion in my area (Kimgs Mtn. NC) is having a recall on their hb meat we have like 10lbs or so in the frig to take back. What makes it so bad is I just made about 30 lbs of Chili for our Cub Scouts at a hot dog sale & at our camp out last weekend so far no reports of anyone getting sick.

If you cooked the burger well you should not have to worry. My understanding is the recall due to ecolli bacteria which is destroyed if cooked through.
