First time posting.  Thanks for all of the information this site provides.  It is very helpful.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue.  The lid will not close properly on the smoker's main cooking area.  It is like it is cock-eyed.  It has been like this from the start, and I remember it was difficult to get the bottom part to bolt to the frame initially.  Anyone seen the holes not be drilled in the proper location to ensure the body is square?  I think I need to fix this issue before I install the sealing mod to get the best results.

Thanks

Frank

Hi, Frank.

Mine does not fit perfectly, but not far off enough to be a problem.

Post up some pics so we can see what you are dealing with?

Also, if you would drop by the Roll Call, you won't believe the warm welcome you will get here in the forum.

Good luck and good smoking.

Sounds like either the top or the bottom is wracked out of square. The easiest solution would be to take it back the palce where you bought it and exchange it.

Should be no problem.

It looks to be off by 1/4 in.  I tried pulling it, but it didn't seem to make a difference.
