Newbie tivadoc form Pittsburgh, PA here. I set up my new Masterbuilt 30 and I'm proofing it now. As I read the instruction booklet, see a smoking chart for various meats with times, temps, etc. For example, under Brisket they recommend 3 cups of wood chips and 7-8 lbs of charcoal. Does that mean wood chips until the 3 cups is gone, and then finish cooking to temperature with charcoal in the smoker?
