Ok guys bought a char broil 700 series on Amazon for $150. So that said I've read the reviews and know there's many thing about this smoker that are less then good. I'm planning on flipping the charcoal tray in the smoking chamber over and drilling small to large holes from the fire box to the smoke stack end. Next I've ordered fiberglass rope for sealing the doors and will be riveting latches to lids to get tight seals on the chambers. Will also be sealing all seams with RTV. Have to gauges coming for grate level temps. Will extend the smoke stack to 1" above grate. For those of you who've owner one of these is there anything I missed other than it rusts like crazy and will need a coat of high temp paint too? I'm keeping my master forge electric which I've become very proficient with until I get this offset thing figured out. Oh and is the coal box made out of expanded metal really needed?

Thanks in advance.
