Want to introduce myself to all of you heavey smokers out there.. lol.. I may not be a Pro Smoker, but if you ask the family & my neighbors, they would say I am... (head swells up)... lol.. I am Kirk, btw, Capt Kirk was all ready taken.... lol....

I have just recently gotten one of the CharGrillers 50/50 Duos & thus far could not be happier with my purchase. I have been lurking around on the board for bout a month now, here reading up on the Mods people have made to thier CGs... Most have been on the Pro Smoker, but I have adapted to my Duo, not as big of cooking area, but... mmmmmmmmmm is still tasty.. lol..

If you are familiar with the Duo or Trio w/SFB, you know what kind of Behemoth it is... I have done 2 mods to so far & will be doing others I have read up on here shortly.. The first was to add casters to the front legs under the Char side which makes it alot more movable & the flume exten to the grate. Am very happy with both mods will post pics soon.

Keep on Smokin everyone!!!

Star Trek fan here so I thought Captain Kirk would have been great.

Welcome to the site, you are gonna learn more than you ever thought possible.

Welcome to the forum Duo. I've gotten a lot of good use from mine for sure. Be sure to make a charcoal basket for your sfb. It will help you out a lot. Mine has been used mostly for grilling purposes the last few times I've used it (not for a while though) since building a drum smoker, it gets used more often than not for smoking.

Enjoy the forum and bring lots of pics

Welcome to SMF. I love my Chargriller and have both the smoker and gas grill. I looked at the duo, and thought what a great idea. In my opinion they make a good product for the money. I really enjoy mine. I hope you enjoy yours as well. Make sure to post q-view of your projects.
