Hello,

New to the forum, but have been smoking for several years. Just switched from electric/propane smoker with wood chips, to an Oklahoma Joe Highland offset. Different animal for sure. I've modified it the best I can, and she seems to be doing well. Looking forward to learning more about this great hobby.

Welcome to SMF, JB! I'm sure that the jump from electric/propane to good ole charcoal/wood is a big one. Plenty of folks here who would be more than willing to help you navigate that new machine, for sure!

Welcome from SC, JB. It's really good to have you on this great site. There are a lot of fine folks here who are always ready to share their ideas, recipes and tips. All you have to do is ask and keep reading.

I'm born in Charlotte and have been in Greenville, SC for 46 years. However, I'm still Tar Heel born and Tar Heel bred. Spent my time and money in Chapel Hill.

Good luck and good smokin', Joe. :grilling_smilie:
