As the title states I've been running the canner almost every chance I get this summer. I've got loads and loads of beautiful giant roma tomatoes. Salsa has been the order of the day for the most part...at least one batch each time the water bath gets hot. The pickles are done for the season but the peppers are just getting started.

I just love using fully ripe jalapenos and some green ones mixed together. Kind of festive.

Peppers are by far my favorite pickled item. The hotter the better! You can't see it in the background but there is a whole jar full of habaneros back there. Not sure how I'll use them but at least they'll be around if I need to spice things up even more.

I'll be dehydrating peppers also.....but that's a different topic.
