Can I put Pellets in my MES 30

I was wondering if I can put wood pellets in my MES through the wood chips loader. 

Do they burn hotter than the wood chips? 

Will it hurt my heating element?  

Does anyone do it already

I tried with my MES, and had mixed results. I ended up getting the AMNPS and it works much better. Good luck!!!

yes it works as a hot smoke .

I use Smokehouse pellets in my MES 40 and love them. They don't heat up like the Traeger pellets and I get about an hour's smoke from 1/3 cup.
