can anyone help me ? i am gonna smoke a 12lbs turkey tomorrow for easter .what i have read on time and temps for it and they all varied on sizes and temps..any help would be greatly appreciated

I did a 12 lb'er for X-mas and if I remember right I smoked at about 275* and it took about 6 hours. The main thing is to take the breast to 165* and the thigh to 175*. Give yourself a little time, you can always foil and let it rest toweled in a cooler and it will stay warm for a good while. If you have never done this you will never cook one in the oven or fry again.

Did you brine it?

Dude, I'm sorry, what's your question?

Do you have a thermometer? A whole turkey is ready at 165 degrees internally (based upon the breast).

I've never done an entire turkey but a huge breast. That's where the flavors' at.

First time doing a Turkey, Thanks for all your help on temps and such. It's looking Good!!
