Searching turned up old threads on this smoker but nothing recent; so I'm gonna ask again.

I have a chance to get one of these, used, at a great price. I'm thinking of adding it to my stable to go with my Weber OTG, mini-WSM, and MES 40. What should I check to see if it works correctly; and, if it doesn't, how difficult is it to find parts to fix them? From what I've read in threads several years old now (going back to '08), these units were made by Masterbuilt, the same folks who make the MES. Is that correct?

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Yep they're made by Masterbuilt. I've had mine 2 years now. Temps were hard to control using charcoal. When using propane the burner can get blown out easily trying to smoke at low temps. When I use mine I smoke at about 250°and it stays lit. Using propane you can smoke at high temperatures which is nice if you're doing turkey and like the skin crispy. It's cool having all the options this one gives.
