Butts and Ribs-First Smoke

    This morning we fired up the freezer/smoker conversion for our maiden voyage in smoking. We have a couple 4 lb Boston Butts and a rack of Babyback's. We used Jeff's Naked Rub recipe on everything. Have a few pic's of the wares before entering the smoker, and some of the beautiful smoke, and one with my thermometer reading optimal temp of 230 degrees.

    5 Hours into the smoking pics. Mopping with Apple Juice and Captain's. Smelling yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Man oh Man those ribs look great and just the way I like them too. Now you have lost the butts I saw them in there. ????

    Those ribs turned out excellent and Jeff's Naked Rib Rub RULES! The butts came off and were put in the oven. Butt, no pictures because everyone was so hungry after smelling them for so long, they got pulled and made into sammiches. Yummy!!!! Very happy with my smoker.
