When I am cooking/grilling/smoking/canning/baking what ever....I am a happy camper. Just wish someone else would clean up the mess!

Kat
Jessica was here yesterday and helped me snap all of them.  Jennifer is at work right now.  Trust me....she will get a snoot full tonight.  I have 20 more jars to go and the canner will fit 6 quarts at a time.

Sounds like you've got some help. LOL

Here is what I was doing yesterday.  Here are some that are canned...pressure canned...and others waiting their turn!

Here are the last of the 26 quart jars waiting their turn.  Wish I had more counter space!

Nice and pretty...and all have "popped".

Don't know why...but when I take pics my views look yellow.  BUT...nice and fresh looking and will be good eats this Fall and Winter!

Thanks for looking!

Those are fine looking beans!

The slight yellow tinge is likely because you shot the picture under incandescent lights. If your camera has a white balance setting, set it for incandescent and it will adjust. If not, the pictures still look great.

Disco.

Thanks Disco....those pics are from my cell phone.  Will look and see what I can do on the settings.  Tried them with out a flash....and got the same results as with my little Nikon.  I am probably going to do another 1/2 bushel of them later too.  We eat a boat load of green beans around here.

Does it not make you want to have those old open board shelves so everyone can sit and admire your canned green beans? Maybe a window behind 'em so you can see the colors? LOL

No Old maids? Amazing job, must have been that great help you had.......

Mama is bragging to all her lady friends!

Nope...all have sealed.  Whew!  I want MORE!  Hubby was impressed and wants to add more canning shelves.  Woot woot!
Looks like they turned out good Kat

How many jars can you do at a time in your canner?

EDIT: Never mind - I see now that it's 6...

I can put the 6 quarts as you figured out.  Love these old canners.

Gorgeous, Kat!  That is some work to be hughly proud of.  So satisfying to put away your own food for the winter!

Thanks Clarissa!  And to top it off...was canning the last batch last nite....and my oven started beeping an error code.  My Stove/Oven died!  Had 5 minutes left.  Temp stayed where it needed to be....but had to cut the power to the stove or it would have beeped all nite!  Now to go and see if the parts house can order the relay part.  If not...I will be getting a new oven/stove.

Kat

Hope you can get the part you need Kat - I hate replacing stoves...
Welllllll.....found out that the relay board will be expensive...and if it's out...the control board is probably bad too....and they don't make them anymore.  So looks like a new range for me.  Nice...with the Hubby being on furlough too.

Kat

Have been looking at Lowes and Home Depot....I want old school.  No self clean option....coils and not flat top and could care less what color it is.  Found a lot from $399.00 up to $499.00 range....so that is not bad.  Might take my "stick burner" hidey hole money.....but I need to have a range.  LOL....no self respecting Southern Girl would ever not have a good range.

Oh! Didn't know you were planning on getting a stick burner Kat!

As far as the flat top - I have one & it is a lot more hassle than I expected & takes forever to even boil water compared to the previous one which had coils...

Disappointing end to your green bean project!  But thank goodness you didn't lose the last 6 quarts!

So sorry about the stove going out on you. That sucks!

I really don't like that "range" anyway.  It's a Jenn-aire...and came with the house.  It takes forever to cook anything.  Guarantee that if something is supposed to take an hour...it will take 30-45 minutes longer. Stick burner...I am looking at doing comps in the next year or two.  Have a team name and everything.  Want either Jambo...or MeadowCreek or a Lang...or one that Ribwizard made....(big grin)....or a few WSM's.  Saving my pennies for equipment needed.

I am always full of surprises!  Drives Lynn (hubby) nuts!  But it's never boring around my house!  haha
