Whats going on everybody? Just want to thank everyone for the advice. I am new to the smoking game. Bought a Brinkman smoker at a garage sale about 4 weeks ago (thought it would make game day better... War Eagle!!!). The first weekend (after doing some research on the smf) I butterflied a venison tenderloin, stuffed it with crabmeat and wrapped with bacon, and did chicken quarters. Thanks to the heads up I got on here everything turned out great. Since then I've done chicken 2 more times and spare ribs twice and I cant get enough of it. Just wish I had thought of this earlier in football season. Oh well, at least I'm ready for next year.

Welcome aboard Dank! I like you and your War Eagle! Just remember, Auburn is actually an acronym that stands for Alabama Usually Beats Us Red Necks (or, 'Round November, depending on who's there)!

Hey there Dank, welcome. Well you got my attention on this post. I hunt to live, and live to hunt. And I have a freezer full of tenderloin and backstraps right now. Your butterflied tenderloin is making me hungry. Any pics of that one you made? If not, next time, make sure you do. It sounds fantastic.

I've recently relocated and I've only been to the woods 5 times so far this year. I'm hitting it hard this week and I'll probably get a solid week at Christmas , I already got two during bow season though so I can't complain. Just won't be able to spend as much time chasing antlers instead of meat with my season so limited. What I'm really worried about is turkey season. I'm gonna freak out if I can't find a place to chase birds up here in the spring. I got no pics, but if you like crab you would love it. It's kind of my play on surf and turf. I make a crabstuffing I normally use on stuffed mushrooms, but instead I stuff it in the butterflied tenderloin and then tie it back up and wrap it in bacon and I cook it meduim rare and serve with horseradish sauce.
