I use a turkey fryer burner in my smoke house and it works great.Did you ever try out the turkey fyer burner inside your smoker? I am thinking of building something similar to yours. It looks great curious how it works for you??
Sweet build!!! How difficult was it to get the Propane burner set to the correct flame to get the correct temp??
MMMM, Smoked cheese!!!
For the interior burner in my smoker I purchased a nice low pressure low profile outdoor cajun cookware burner.I think today was the wrong day to test it out. Yesterday it was in the mid 60's while today it was in the mid 40's and very windy. With a single cheap 1000 watt burner I was able to get 120* and maintain it. When I added the second 1000 watt burner I was able to hit 160 and maintain which is about what I am looking for. I added some wood chips to a cast iron pan and looked for leaks and didn't find any so I am pleased with our construction. At this point I have some concerns about temps. I may pillage some burners from a stove a buddy has since I have 240v wired in my garage for a welder or I may look into a turkey fryer burner. More to come...
