My other hobby is restoring pre 72' CJ5's and I have some spare parts laying around. Has anyone made a grill or smoker out of the front of a vehicle? I am sure it has been done I just can't seem to find pics of someone doing it out of an old Jeep. I have several Hoods, fenders, and grills just laying in storage right now and I got to thinking that one set of fenders, a hood, and a grille would easily be converted into a charcoal grille or even harder a smoker. What say you and if you have pics please help a brother out. This is going to be a winter project for next season so I have plenty of time to gather what will be needed. I was even thinking about going as far as finding a windshield frame and firewall and put the "wood/charcoal box" where the floor boards would be with a door in the firewall to access the coal pit to restock without having to open the hood and let all the heat out. What say the pros here?

In the planning stage right now. I have all the possible jeep parts required, its just a matter of figuring it all out now. I figure winter time would be a great time to make this an in the garage type project.
