i would like to make my own pellet smoker. I need your help with finding a store where I could buy the auger, fan, motor, and pid controller, hot rod, temperature probe. I am no interested in buying a pellet hopper assembly I would prefer to make one my self. I was looking at the auberins controller I don't know if any of you ever worked with them.

thanks

I have never looked into building a pellet smoker but I have built some other contraptions and I always use amazon to buy the parts. I built a sous-vide machine and was able to find the temp controller I needed on amazon for less than $20.

e-bay has augers and lots of parts.... one problem with pellet smokers is you can't get very low temps.... another is, they don't produce much smoke because there is a flame burning... flames consume smoke... and you have to use food grade pellets that can be difficult to find at times....

Pellet Pro has complete assemblies, just cut a hole and attach.  Please post pics and updates as I am considering a similar build.
